Others, are simply happy to do what they do and rely on building a reputation by the responses of those who notice them, and then enthusiastically spread the word. Such is the case with Phil Bentley, who is steadily growing a league of supporters and fans, and pricking up ears all around the country.

Phil's sound is a rootsy mix of styles that always harks back to the lyric and melody. At 20, he has already found himself playing at many well known UK venues, from the small and intimate (sanctuary cafe, the bedford) to the larger venues backed by his band (concorde II, the cobden club, the borderline) showcasing his unique gentle, folksy piano style, and whiskey-smooth vocals.

The future looks very promising for Phil Bentley, who at 20 has just released his debut EP, which is available for purchase at gigs and via his website. And with shows booked all over the UK, it

making all his life.
