Music Samples & LoneBoy Radio
We like to provide our customers with music. That's why they've come here! So on your CD's page we will upload non downloadable samples of your music. If you do not wish to provide music via our site please email team@loneboystore.com and let us know. Otherwise we'll do it automatically.
From time to time we'd like to feature you on our radio. This is a non-profit device provided to get customers interested in the sounds of LoneBoyStore. Again if you don't want to be featured please email us. There is no financial compensation for this play, however the promotion it might bring maybe invaluable to you.
What makes LoneBoyStore better than other online retailers...
Every artist sign up is free, we do however have two PRODUCT/CD ACCOUNTS. Every artist receives the free STANDARD PRODUCT ACCOUNT or you can upgrade to the PREMIUM PRODUCT ACCOUNT this goes by the cd/product title not the artist name, so if you have one or more cd titles to add you can choose to have one standard, one premium or all premium, all standard the choice is yours, basically the upgrade is on your music cd not yourself.

How much should I charge?
In the UK chart album CDs are currently being sold between £7.99 - £12.99. EPs go for around £2.99- £5.99 and singles for around £0.99 - £1.99 If you need to talk to anyone about pricing please don't hesitate to contact us.
What does LoneBoyStore take from my sale?
We take a flat rate of £2.50 per ALBUM / DVD (for products with 8 or more tracks up)
We take a flat rate of £0.50 per SINGLE (for products that have less than 4 tracks)
We take a flat rate of £1.45 per EP (for products priced have 4 or more tracks, up to 8)
For Premium this changes to:
£1.75 per ALBUM
£0.30 per Single
£1.00 per EP
So typically if you sell your CD for £12.99 we'd take £2.50. A note to remember, because we are an English store our customer base is primarily in the UK. It's not unusal to pay upwards of £9.99 - £12.99 for a CD. However, you are at liberty to choose a price that works for you.
For tickets we work on a percentage and a sign up fee per event - which can be a whole tour or just a one off show. We take a cut from 15% the gross sale.
When will I get Paid?
We pay monthly by cheque, paypal or bank transfer. If your sales have topped £10 we'll send your money via your chosen option. If you don't quite make £10 - we'll roll it over. We make our payments on the last Thursday and Friday of each month.
How do I work out the price with the current exchange rate?

How many songs from my album will you put on the player in my store?
Generally we put two songs from each artist on the player. These are non downloadable full length samples and are at 96KBS. We've had to keep the quality quite low due to the bandwidth that the store currently uses. If you don't want any samples please email us on team@loneboymusic.com - or if you want us to change the choice.
How will I know if I've / my band have made a sale?
We'll let you know the moment you've made a sale via your nominated email address. LoneBoyStore makes no sales guarantee. Like any store we can't promise that any of your products will sell. It is up to you to get people to the store to buy your title(s).
VAT
By law we have to charge VAT on your CD on sales within the United Kingdom or within the European Community at the United Kingdom rate of 17.5% so keep that in mind when setting the price for your CD/DVD/MERCH. If you are registered for VAT you maybe able to claim back the VAT. It's best to ask your accountant about this.
How many CDs should I send?
For the moment we only want 4. When we need more we'll call you.
How do I get my barcode?
Why you "added a new CD" if you choose the option to get a barcode it will have registered here. We'll send it via email to you. Usually we send it as a PDF - if this doesn't work for you please email team@loneboymusic.com
Do I have to upload any Pictures or MP3's
No, we'll do that all for you once we've received your CDs. It's all part of our service. However if you've got promo pictures you want us to use in the StoreFront then please send everything to team@loneboystore.com with your bandname in the subject line.
What is the YOUTUBE feature on my PREMIUM page?
If you have band videos uploaded onto YouTube or Myspace and want it featured on your StoreFront you can send us the link and we'll make sure the video plays everytime someone visits your StoreFront.
How do I log into my account?
There is no login function, simply click on the Artist Area tab along the top of the page, you will find everything you need on the drop down menu. If you need to talk to us about anything you can always call us: 020 8373 3265.
Will you ever return my CD?
Yes, we will, if after 6 months a title has not sold one single copy we will at our discretion return the title back to you. This is because we believe that the product is better off in your hands than gathering dust on our shelves. Of course you can always signup the title again if you have reason to believe that lots of sales are coming!
Can I change my StoreFront?
Unfortunately users can not change the actual style of the StoreFront, however we can change your tracklisting, price(s) add titles and change links, if you email us with the changes you'd like made. We automatically choose the first two tracks from your album on the product page's music player. If you need that changing please email us.
